چکیده
A balanced two-factor ANOVA yields a highly significant effect of watering treatment (F = 10.55, df = 1, 24, P = 0.003) and nonsignificant effects of source (F = 0.47, df = 2, 24, P = 0.628) and the watering treatment x source interaction (F = 0.05, df = 2, 24, P = 0.955). There is one low outlier, and one of the treatment groups (Heeia fresh) had substantially less variation than the others, but the ANOVA does not appear to be seriously affected by these problems.

To determine the effects of salinity and boron excess in irrigation water on relative growth rate (RGR), net assimilation rate on a leaf weight basis (NAR), and leaf weight ratio (LWR) of pistachio, three pistachio rootstocks (Badami -Zarand, Sarakhs and Ghazvini) were used. Rootstocks were grown in soil in eight-liter polyethylene pots. Sodium chloride treatments were 0, 75,150 and 225 mM NaCl...

متن کاملInvestigating the Effect of Saline Water Treatments and Some Organic Fertilizers on lemongrass' (Cymbopogon citratus) Physiological Features and Growth
Introduction: Salinity is a basic non-living environmental factor that reduces the yield worldwide. In arid and semi-arid regions, the salinity of water and soil limits crop production. Therefore, it is crucially important to assess the salinity tolerance of medicinal herbs if they are to be cultivated in saline areas. Materials and Methods: To investigate the effect of water salinity and so...
متن کاملGrowth and physiologic response of rapeseed (Brassica napus L.) to deficit irrigation, water salinity and planting method
Salinity and water stress reduces the ability of plant to take up water and decrease growth rate, photosynthesis rate (An) and stomatal conductance (gs) of plants. In this study, effects of deficit irrigation with different salinity levels and planting method (in-furrow and on-ridge) as strategies for coping with water and salinity stress on physiologic properties of rapeseed was investigat...
متن کاملEffect of defoliation on leaf physiology of sugar beet cultivars subjected to water stress and re-watering
Water stress causes defoliation, which can reduce yield and root quality of sugar beets (Beta vulgaris L.) through altered gas exchange characteristics of the leaves. In a two-year experiment, three sugar beet cultivars (Europa, Rival and Corsica) were subjected to three defoliation levels (control-C, moderate-MD, severe-SD) and re-watering after their exposition to drought for a month. Leaf ph...
